Amy and Kevin Maternity Session - Des Moines Maternity Photographer

Such a fun session with this couple...we had lots of laughs.  I love that I get to hang out with my clients & it feels like we are just hanging out for fun not at all like I'm at work :)  We had been trying to get this one scheduled for awhile & last minute jumped at the chance when we had nice weather.  It ended up being a gorgeous evening and we took advantage of it until the sun went down.  Literally the photos on the pier were taken so quickly as we were running out of light fast.  I think we shot that whole segment in about fifteen minutes.  They are expecting their first baby "boy" in June & I cannot wait to meet him.  Amy you are beautiful & Kevin you are not so bad yourself :) You guys rocked it! Fall Mini Sessions 2011 - Puget Sound Family Photographer

Fall Mini Sessions - to be held on Saturday October 8, 2011.  These sessions will be held in Sumner WA.  My first Mini Session here in the Pacific Northwest.  Of course we do not always know what the weather around here will be like so in the event that it's pouring down rain that day we will reschedule a make up day.  These are 30 minute sessions - giving us plenty of time to get some great shots.  Approximately two weeks after your session I will provide you with a password protected online gallery on my website.  Your gallery will be available for viewing for 10 days.  This is when you will make your print selections & use your $25 print credit towards your order.  You will also be provided with all the edited images at low resolution & watermarked on a disk.  These images are appropriate for emailing & web sharing. The Adventures of Clark Kent AKA { Super Logan } - Dallas/Fort Worth Childrens Photographer

Happy 3rd Birthday to my Little Man...Hard to believe it's been three years.  This little man has blessed our lives more than we could have imagined.  As all of you parents out there know the love you have for this little human is incredible.  He is such a fun loving & funny little guy...he makes us laugh everyday.  Enough of the mushy love stuff...The question came up as to what type of birthday we would have this year.  Of course my brain was already full of ideas of what I would have loved to do but he had other ideas.  I came to find out that even at three they have their own opinions.  So I started about a month before asking him his ideas and when the superhero idea didn't change I knew what it would be.  So superheros it is....when it came time to do his birthday invitations of course I had to put my spin on it :)  I came across this old telephone booth and the ideas just filled my head...Therefore we have the "Adventures of Clark Kent AKA Super Logan".  His party is all set, we are going with a good old fashion backyard party.  Just simply having his favorites of ice cream & cupcakes.  No chocolate because according to him it's "too yucky for him".  Looking forward to celebrating our Little Man with family & friends. 

"Pink" Mini Session coming up... - Dallas/Fort Worth Child Photographer

Just a little preview to show that the "PINK" Mini session coming up is not just for girls... The shoot will take place on April 9, 2011 - Half of the session fee will go towards the 3day Breast Cancer walk in October.  Great way to support a great cause & get some fun photos too.  I'm really excited about it.  Preview to come...we shot it this morning...little girls, one boy & lots of pink.  So fun!!

Baby Gavin - Dallas/Fort Worth Child Photographer

This shoot was very special to me...once you see this little guy you will know why...

I met this family back in December while helping out down at the Ronald McDonald House.  I was there to take Christmas pictures of the families staying there if they wished.  This was all put on by Coleson's FROG ministry.  Having stayed at the RMH house in Houston herself, Julie knows what these families are going through.  Therefore she has started this ministry to help families cope with this time in their lives.  The volunteers that night worked very hard to provide an awesome sit down dinner for the families.  They turned the dining area into a restaurant...even brought out toys for the children.  I felt like the slacker as I was the one just standing there with the camera.  I was happy to have been asked to be a part of such a great evening.  I know Julie will do great things with this ministry.  She has a huge heart & God has blessed her with great opportunities to get this started.  I'm proud of you Julie - You Go Girl!! 

Now back to Baby Gavin, as I was saying I met him along with his parents and twin brother that night.  They came down in a wagon holding hands.  Love at first sight - then the smiles came out and you fell in love again.  I wanted to do this blog post to get his story out there.  He is fighting cancer & needs all of our prayers.  "Gavin was recently diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a malignant (cancerous) tumor that develops from nerve tissue. " (Taken from his Facebook Page "Gavin's Prayer Wall)  I met up with this family again to do a family shoot the day before he started up with Chemo.  They didn't have hot water the day of our shoot so they had to take cold showers to get ready.  I'm glad they bared the cold water to allow me to capture the love of these parents & these boys.   I called this a family shoot but this isn't their whole family.  They have three other children back at home.   The shoot was shot very quickly out in the courtyard.  Not your perfect lighting/scenery etc...but the love you can see & the twinkle in that little boys eyes... I say pretty Perfect!!
